2012: When diagnosed with carpal tunnel, I can fondly remember this humble endeavor as the moment I lost the ability to painlessly floss.

Experimental design done for one of my instructor’s clients.
Now, I’m not a graphic designer. My flirtation with Adobe Illustrator extended little beyond 30 minutes, 25 of which were full of silent frustration and not-so-silent swearing to the absence of selected hardware. I’m not a patient (or particularly rational) person when I expect a program that boasts the capacity to do everything for you to actually do everything for you, you see.
Fortunately, I stumbled upon the less intimidating trial version of Xara. Briefly? It offers an intuitive interface and simple formatting solutions for total vector delinquents like yours truly.
Oh, Xara, I think you shall be the newest receptacle of my infatuation.

Technical pen, red copic

Both pieces were done for a “Guinness World Records” illustration project.

Dollheart International began manufacturing my 2006 L’amoreux designs. The theme provided was “Tarot”, and this was my attempt at translating “The Lovers” into something appropriate for the Dollheart brand.

These were the designs they could not do:
